Hawthorns Music was founded in 1992 by musicians Greg and Alyson Lewin. Since then its publications have become familiar throughout the world and are now sold in many different countries.
The company specialises in the production of printed editions. At present, the catalogue includes editions of Early Music, recorder music for young players and for ensembles from trio to recorder orchestra, duets and compositions for recorder and harpsichord. A selection of Early Music-related notecards and embroidery kits - The Counterpoint Collection - is also available.
Hawthorns editions are prepared using computer typesetting and are printed using a high quality copier on good quality paper. This process lacks something in the glossy covers department, but it allows us to offer a large catalogue at what we hope are competitive prices.
