In the keys of G, D and C, these waltzes are easy for piano as for recorders. Permission is given for making up to five copies of the parts, provided they are used in conjunction with a purchased set, a concession that would be welcome from other publishers. Tenor recorders may double at the lower octave, which together with possible solo spans will enable some ‘orchestration’ to be made. Sixteen of our basic twenty-six notes are needed for playing both recorder parts. Five simple, shapely pieces very suitable for elementary players.
